By entering this contest, entrants hereby agree to be bound by these rules as amended from time to time. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed of any updates of these rules, and they acknowledge that any failure to comply with these rules could lead to their disqualification without reasons being given or having opportunity for challenge.
This contest is open to those aged 18 or over as of 00.01 on 25 January 2011. Employees of the ECCA, contractors and other individuals connected with the ECCA, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
The first 500 people to correctly identify all 12 people in the photographs presented at www.pearlofwisdom.eu/en/win-a-pearl.html will be sent one Pearl of Wisdom pin (composed of base metals and a synthetic pearl).
Multiple entries by the same person (as assessed by the name and address) will count as one entry to this contest.
Prizes must be accepted as given. There will be no cash payments, substitutions or other alternatives to the prize offered and prizes are not transferable.
If, in the sole opinion of the ECCA, this contest has been unfairly manipulated by any entrant or entrants, the ECCA may, in it absolute discretion, declare any entries invalid, void the contest, change these rules, or adjust the entries as required to ensure fairness. The decision of the ECCA in every instance shall be final and not subject to challenge.
No correspondence will be entered into or comment issued on any matters concerning any aspect of this contest, and no reasons will be given for any decision made by the ECCA.
The ECCA and the Pearl of Wisdom Campaign reserve the right to publish the names of the winners and all winners are required to give their full co-operation to all requests by the ECCA in connection with publicity for this contest. In this regard, the ECCA shall have the exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide licence to first publication and to sub-license these rights to others.
The ECCA will not be liable for any circumstances beyond its control that prevent the contest from being fulfilled, a winner or winners being chosen, or any prize being taken by a winner. The ECCA excludes any liability to the extent permitted by law for any cost, claims or losses howsoever caused that may arise by reason of any person's entry into this contest or the award, or non-award, to them of a prize. In the event of any error, whether technological or otherwise, which affects this contest in any way, the ECCA reserves the right to administer the contest as though the error had not occurred.
If any winner is unable to take up a prize for any reason, or if the ECCA has not been able, after making reasonable efforts, to make contact with the winner, the ECCA reserves the right to award that prize (without notice to the first winner chosen) to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner shall not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever.
The names of the prize winners will be made available on receipt of a request sent to the ECCA, 121 rue Jourdan, 1060 Brussels, Belgium, and enclosing a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
